300 horsepower is very fast, 350 is thrilling and with 450 you will just disappear. Now, how about 500+ horsepower and if that is not enough, how about even shaving a few kilos off your sports car? This is exactly what Nissan have done with their V-Spec GT-R which will scream it’s way onto urban roads, come 2009. This long low slung car which has been an epitome of affordable performance will also feature lots of Carbon fiber all over it’s racy body. All the carbon fiber and the aluminum bits will further reduce the V-Spec GT-R’s weight by a whopping 150 kilos making the GT-R a mean, superfast, performance rocket. Performance enhancers come in the form of the F1 style ceramic brakes, SACHS suspension for nimble, yet sure-footed handling and a power booster called the “overboost” which pushes the horsepower up by 50 horses, all the way up to 509 Bhp. You will be able to drive one of these come 2009, when the Nissan GT-R debuts as a 2010 model.
