Daimler Chrysler has finally announced that the Dodge Avenger will make it to production but more importantly, they announced that they would stop producing the current version minivans by May next year. This is an important move from Chrysler as the aging Minivans had started becoming a non-profitable venture for them.

We can now expect a string of new models from Chrysler as the Dodge Avenger is no more a concept vehicle it will rather be mass produced to replace the Dodge Charger . The Chrysler dealers are hopeful that this mid size sedan will hit the showroom floors by February next year. The production will begin in January at the Sterling Heights Assembly plant.

The new version minivans or rather more specifically The 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Caravan minivans will also be produced from 1 September 2007.

Chrysler definitely needed this breath of fresh air and with these new models slated for production in 2007 they could well see their money-making graph soaring North.
