It’s been a week now since I came across this news of the German Tuning house Novitec out with its tuning scissors to trim and make the awesome Ferrari 599 GTB look more spectacular. I would have brought this car into mention then but what wasn’t there was an image gallery, which defined each tuning clue ardently. Thanks to the people at tuning news that came up with what I was looking for, so here is what the tuned version has gone through.
As expected the German tuning masters have added a faint styling kit to increase the downforce, whilst adding muscle and better handling potency to the Italian gem. The changes include the addition of a front low spoiler, side skirts with large vents allowing for larger air intake, side flaps, rear wing and a rear diffuser. 20-inch type N3 wheels at the front and 21-inch in the rear with Pirelli P Zero 275/30 R20 and 355/25 R21 tires compliment the entire styling act.
Talking about the additional muscle, the mid-engined 599 GTB gets 25 horses more, taking the count to 645 hp via control unit upgrade and exhaust system with slightly larger 90mm dual tips that are cut at an angle. The top speed has been increased by 5km/h. Those expecting better power upgrades or craving for more from the 599 GTB would have to wait until 2008 as the German tuners are developing a beastlier version for that year.
Finally, a take on handling that has been improved with an adjustable aluminium suspension manufactured by the revered Kw Automotive. Bothered about the ride height well you wouldn’t really have to worry as a mere push of a button ensures adjustment. A soft foot on the break paddle would mean a more than guaranteed decrease in acceleration, courtesy of the 405mm brake discs with Brembo six piston calipers.
The 599 GTB never lacked class and it has just been made classier by the geniuses from Germany. We’ve attached an imager a gallery just to convince you that the work put in doesn’t lack finesse but just incase you doubt, you could have them all cleared at the Frankfurt Motor Show as this ruby is set for an appearance at the big venue.
