Conventions are for sissies. Since going by conventions wouldn’t produce radical concepts, so it is far better to throw the rule-book out when designing something for the future. Innovative design firm Non-Object has done exactly that in designing the “nUCLEUS’ concept bike. Otherwise who in right senses would design a motorbike that is built on the principle of “square against air”?
The electric concept motorcycle nUCLEUS has obviously unique design features. It is supposed to be a zero-emission, zero-speed vehicle. To all appearances it is in opposition to the traditional aerodynamic DNA, but that’s only from the side. The body looks square from side-on but from the front, the metals are razor thin and are designed to cut through the air. The design also boasts of an appearance that can be customized using skins and a comfortable saddle. A horse-like behavior completes nUCLEUS’s departure from the normal. The motorcycle gets up on its hind legs when in motion and rests down squarely when still. With features as these, there’s still a lot of time before we see nUCLEUS anywhere on the streets.
