It was well and truly a pall, when those experts were found clueless about the engine that would power the much hyped hybrid from Fisker, the Karma. Hail AutoCar, for it was the one that revealed what’s under the hood of the Karma. The limited edition hybrid car would hence come powered with a 1.4 liter four-cylinder engine. This VW entity would serve as a generator giving this rare model the 300 mile range. Fisker claims that it has already sold 99 units of the car, the deliveries for which would begin in the fourth quarter of 2009. Fisker eventually plans to sell 15,000 units of this car and is also planning a pure hybrid version of the Karma, which would currently surface as a Q-Drive plug-in hybrid capable of hitting the 60 mph mark in 5.8 seconds.
