With the allegation of cars being the major air pollutant refusing to die down, Peugot has aptly added a new AM6 tiptronic gearbox to make way for lesser fuel consumption.
It has added this technology to the latest Peugeot 407 HDi turbo diesel Sedan and Touring models. Interesting, it now uses only 10.0 litres per 100km and a highway cycle of only 5.5 litres per 100km. This new technology offers six speed automatic transmission, the fifth and sixth gears are the ones that enable lower fuel-consumption.
The transmission also offers 3 modes : full automatic, sports mode and the sequential mode for better performance and the Triptonic control gives the driver the ability to select ratios.
