Peugeot’s new concept car Prologue, apart from its robust built is a crossbreed design. The Prologue draws obvious styling cues from the French carmaker’s current SUV and minivan offerings, including the more recent 4007 SUV.

The car boasts of egg-crate grille, pronounced nose and the 5-door hatchback and is powered by a hybrid power train and develops a peak output of 200hp (147kW) and emits just 109g of CO2 per km. The vehicle also has a short electric-only driving mode and the range and speeds are still unknown.

This automobile is a blend of a car and SUV elements and is a preview of the upcoming 3008 compact crossover vehicle expected to be launched next year and would fight against the Nissan Qashqai and the Volkswagen Tiguan. The latest scoop is that Prologue, unlike RC is unlikely to enter production anytime soon. Currently, the only SUV available with Peugeot dealers is a Mitsubishi Outlander clone, called 4007.
