The Phoenix Concept from Designers Niels Grubak Iversen and David Miguel Moreira Gonçalves is quite a case of some identity disorder, not in the bad sense though. Created for the Michelin Challenge Design 2009, the concept can turn into a convertible, a muscle car or a truck, whatever you like. The shape-shifting thing clearly is its USP, but that is not all.

Phoenix has omnidirectional wheels, which means parallel parking isn’t going to be a pain and there could be some easy maneuvering through traffic as well. For all the weirdness, we like to think that the concept burns itself down and then rebuilds itself whenever it morphs into some other vehicle. That obviously isn’t going to happen.
