Refusing to be cowed down by its Lupo 3L failure earlier, Volkswagen has boldly introduced a diesel powered Polo Blue Motion car in Germany. With this new diesel car, VW is crystal clear that it would beat even the Prius.
The concept of the car was shown at the Geneva Motor Show back in February. With a 717-mile range and a 10-mpg improvement over its standard sibling, the new hatchback is already luring many towards it. Powered by a 1.4-liter 3-cylinder turbo diesel, the car is 80 horsepower strong. It can sprint zero to 62 mph in 12.8 seconds and comes with a top speed of 176 mph.
With a price as low as $19,990 and fame as a fuel-sipper, I am definite it would be selling like hot cakes in Europe.
