Very few automakers are destined for colossal success complimented with a rarity of nix nooks. For me Porsche is one such carmaker, which perfectly fits into this bracket. Porsche keeps toppling landmarks as ordinary achievements and the latest one to add to their Milestone pergola is the Boxster.

Launched in 1996, Porsche targeted to sell 15,000 Boxster units annually but they soon realized that demand for it swelled more than they had anticipated. Ten years down the line Porsche has produced 2, 00,000 units enabling them to topple another landmark. The landmark vehicle, a meteor grey metallic Boxster S was produced at its partner Valmet Automotive in Uusikaupunki in Finland. As per company resources, it will be delivered to a customer in the US.

Enthralled by the landmark achievement, Michael Macht, Executive Vice President Production and Logistics excerpted:

Ten years ago, no one would have believed what a huge success this Porsche mid-range roadster has become. Thanks to our flexible production system, we can manufacture the Boxster model series at both our main plant in Zuffenhausen and at Valmet. Today’s milestone will especially inspire employees at both plants to continue the success story that is the Boxster .

Great Going Porsche!
