Porsche 911One of the world’s fastest police cars, a 370-horsepower Porsche 911 Carrera S, was unveiled earlier this week in Germany. Sporting a green-and-silver exterior and a light bar on the roof, the Porsche police cars goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The TechArt concept has a modified 3.8-liter flat-six engine, 20-inch wheels and tires, a sport suspension, high-performance brakes and front and rear end spoilers.

The all-wheel-drive versions of Porsche’s latest 911 come in both the hardtop 911 Carrera 4 and 4S Coupe, and the drop-top 911 Carrera 4 and 4S Cabriolets. It gives it a more sport, dynamic and muscular stance.

The four-wheel-drive 911 Carrera models will be available with two engine options. Carrera 4 Coupe and Cabriolet is powered by the proven, 325-horsepower, 3.6-liter flat-Six. While, on the other hand, Carrera 4S version is equipped with a larger 3.8-liter powerplant that develops 355 hp.

Both engines can force the new 911 models to a top speed of above 170 mph (274 km/h). The entire 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 family is also available with Porsche’s Active Suspension Management (PASM). The feature allows the driver to select between the comfort of a Grand Touring car and the precision of a high performance sports car just at the touch of a button.
