AutoSpies has reported that the production version of the BMW Space Functional Concept could be christened V5 or V6, which will be followed by a more compact BMW V3 model.
The Speculated model will not be a traditional BMW minivan; it will rather be a tall wagon, which will compete with The Mercedes R-Class. The V5/V6 is expected to weigh between 4600-4800 lbs in comparison to its predicted rival that weighs 4900+ pounds.
Apart from competing with the Merc. R-Class it will also target MPV’s like The Chrysler Voyager and Renault Escape. The V5/V6 will be for customers who give space and driving dynamics priority above the off road style yet who can’t carry their family into a 5-series or an E 320 Wagon.
