In order to topple the top ranking Hero Honda in motorcycle market, Bajaj will set the record for being the first to fit a Fuel Injection System in their 230cc Pulsar motorbikes. The new technology will replace carburetor, which went out of trend after the impostion of Euro II norms in India.
S Sridhar, Bajaj Auto’s vice-president, marketing and sales says:
The fuel injection system will ensure that the emissions hit rock bottom levels and the bikes run in all climatic conditions.
Bajaj Auto says, it has applied for a world-wide patent for the Fuel Injection System, which will be incorporated with DTSi (digital twin spark ignition). When used, it will ensure that the fuel into the engine’s combustion chamber is maintained at an optimum level.
