The Quandt family, which holds large stock in BMW is upset with the accusations raised against the family in a recent TV documentary called ‘The Silence of the Quandts’.
The family has announced that it will launch an investigation into its own past to clear the air regarding the allegations.
Allegations center around the Afa Battery Factory, which was owned by Guenther Quandt. Herbert Quandt, the son of Guenther Quandt is credited by many as the saviour and builder of BMW.
Many German companies have carried out investigations on their business practices during the war period and have come out with startling results.
Considering that the major industrial concerns had to integrate themselves with the regime, blame for any untoward finding should not rest squarely on the shoulders of the Quandt family.
