There’s something like the three environmental R’s that goes with Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. In it’s own style, the Razan Hydrobus from Engin Kapkin manages to reach out to all of these. Razan Hydrobus looks at a more comfortable and clean inter-urban travel. With hydrogen as the main source, the vehicle uses fuel cells for power, the water generated in the process is then used for cooling the bus, providing an easily accessible and energy efficient air conditioning. A lithium-ion battery is also included, which acts as an auxiliary supply and charges through regenerative braking, adding more efficiency.

With comfort level and ease of passenger in mind, the bus gets a door in the front, allowing easier access to the passengers, and more room for the driver. Seats in the bus are arranged theater-style so all passengers get a view of what is ahead of them, rather than getting the view of the “head” on the seat in-front of them. With this theatrical seating in mind, and given that the concept is for interurban travel, the designer added an entertainment system in the form of a wide screen TV and sound system.
