Sensors in a car that react 230 milliseconds before a collision occurs sound like a welcome boost to car safety. A bunch of engineers from Europe have managed in developing such sensors that are aware of a collision in time and accordingly they throw open a brace in 70 milliseconds ultimately strengthening the car frame. The impact of a collision is thus lessened as it is transferred to the unstruck side of the car. The timely placement of the brace lessens the impact on the body by 10 centimeters, meaning that it disables a fully powerful thump into a mild one. The system calls for the affixation of radars and stereo cameras. Simultaneously, the requisite software has to be embedded in to the car’s system whilst manufacturing. This development could be a major life saver especially in cases where the impact is on the sides. Check Video after the Jump.
