This is a very unique and really wonderful concept and one surely hopes that this takes off and becomes a bit of a hit. This new car that one can take on to the streets of Belgium and even Netherlands is a recycled and assembled car that works as good as new and is approved by the auto authorities of the two nations to hit the road. The car is really a cool concept as it tells us that all old cars need not be crashed and burned. We can find that automobiles generally shed a lot of waste and this can be avoided with such nice little kits.
The base is from a Citroën 2CV - the legendary Deux Chevaux - Dyane or Ami 8. With a new redesigned polyester body, the whole car is available in kit. It can be assembled with the usual tools in a normal toolbox and will take some 200 hours. Okay, so 200 hours of time being spent on putting together a car is insanely huge amount of time. That means that even if you get to work around 4 hours on the car, it would still take you a good 2 months to put it together. I suppose not too many would like to put that amount of time in to it.

While the process looks pretty tough, the results are damn sweet indeed. You can both customize the car and do the planet a huge favor by making sure that do not waste all that metal and plastic. You can also innovate with the body work and create what you want. So if you are an ardent car lover, you will love this too. I do think more countries should follow this and allow some recycled cars on the roads. This can be done, of course, after testing the pollution and safety standards of the cars.
