The Beast:

There are quite a few high profile vehicles lined up for the Paris Motor Show and few probably will come close to the Renault Ondelios in style, luxury and high-end design. The Ondelios sports a futuristic look with the bodywork designed by G Studio. The butterfly-style side doors, the aerodynamic bodywork, the aluminum grill and the superbly crafted front and rear make the Ondelios an absolute visual delight. The glazed polycarbonate body and the sizzling 7-spoke aluminum alloy wheels help the Ondelios stand apart from the crowd.

The Machine:

The Ondelios is powered by a hybrid system combining a 205hp (150kW) version of the 2.0 dCi engine with two 20kW electric motors at the front and rear. The electric engines are powered by a Li-Ion battery and while the one in the front uses stop-start technology, the rear motor kicks in when extra oomph is needed. The electric motors that assist the diesel engine also use regenerative braking. The light bodywork and the twin motors enable the new Renault to hot 0-62mph in 7.8 seconds.

The interiors are filled with luxury as the vehicle promises to be a lounge on wheels. The three rows of seats are completely adjustable to the comfort of individual rider and the technology offered by Samsung in terms of music and gaming would keep the passengers busy. The dashboard takes a state-of-the-art look as the Ondelios place comfort, luxury and style above all else.

The Thrill:

With technology such as locking your car with your cell phone, the Ondelios surely would be a huge hit with today’s tech savvy world. The interiors of the car are close to a luxury hotel or a comfortable flight and the exterior is more than capable of carrying that. With good fuel economy and great efficiency, the Renault Ondelios is set to steal the spotlight at the Paris Motor Show.
