Despite an earlier GM statement towards the contrary, the end of Pontiac was expected. Now, GM has put an official seal on the end of Pontiac. As part of its viability plan, GM will enhance its focus on Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick. Pontiac will slowly go into the annals of history and be phased out by the end of 2010. A revised plan will be put into motion that “moves up the resolution of Saab, Saturn, and Hummer to the end of 2009, at the latest.”
