robucab 1

This is apparently from France, but then it somehow does not look as classy or as stylish as many other stuff that the French dish out very often. But then I have no clue how it looks up close and personal, so I will refrain from commenting on it any further. The RobuCAB is designed to be a public commuting vehicle and according to the makers is efficient and comfortable. It does come with some fancy latest gadgets and it also has an onboard computer too!

The robuCAB vehicle from France is a ‘4-seats automated people mover’ that was constructed from a 4-wheel drive electric chassis and complemented with an on-board computer. This vehicle does not need any driver as it follows the kerb while carrying a number of embedded systems. A camera will always keep an eye on the path edge, while another device tracks the angle and direction of the kerb whilst the rest take control of gearing and acceleration. Each robuCAB will move over a pre-defined circuit that holds a series of sensors below the ground, so they can’t move about independently.

So basically you can commute around now without the nonsense of having to deal with the clamoring taxi driver. Of course, some might think that it is a vital component of their drive that would go missing, but I could much rather do with some silence. I just hope this automated commuting vehicle never ventures away from those tiny sensors. Price on this thing range from €35,000 to €100,000.
