German tuners RUF have upgraded their five-year old Rt 12, with a more formidable Rt 12S. Based on the Porsche 997, the new car gets a twin-turbocharged engine that generates 685hp, a gain of 35hp over the Rt 12. The torque figure has also gone up to 880Nm.
Cosmetic changes include new side mirrors, a bigger carbon fiber rear spoiler, and larger rear fenders with new air ducts. The Rt 12S has also received a new roll cage and moves on 19-inch alloys that have ceramic disc brakes. It’s steering has been specially designed to provide “fatigue-proof driving.” The Rt 12S carries a price tag of €255,900 ($365,000).
