The time is soon coming where the auto categories will not quite be the auto categories for even the luxury segment cars will produce superfluous output, which all of us don’t associate with them, for it belongs to the super cars.
Imagine pelting those luxury cars with 400 horses under the lid, which is unacceptable by any figment of imagination as luxury and thrill don’t always compliment each other and that is why we differentiate them, don’t we .
Irrespective of what we say or think the war is on and as the rumor has it, the upcoming Mercedes C400 will produce more output than the current BMW 335i which stands at 306 horses. At present, Mercedes Benz without the AMG suffix produces 272 horses, courtesy C350, which means that in terms of power the BMW 335i, is better placed and not to forget the 400 Nm of torque complimented with width.
The speculation is that the C400 will produce 400 horses and the use of additive induction is being rumored. What’s more is the speculation that the coming AMG models will be even more powerful. Well I just hope this war finds an end and these automakers understand that it is not power which people choosing to buy cars from this segment crave for , they should rather concentrate on defining luxury at its best and let the power factor stay with the super cars .
