Rumors about a Lambo SUV have persisted in spite of official denials. This time around, the rumors have a leg to stand on, the Lamborghini SUV prototypes have reportedly been spied on the tracks.
The spied mule was under the false skin of a Cayenne, but what gave it away was the size, which was much bigger than what the next Cayenne is expected to get. Rumors of it being a Bentley SUV went up in the air with the dust the mule left in its wake; too fast for a luxury SUV!
Top Speed says the SUV will be powered by a 5litre V10 engine used in the Gallardo and the 4.5L V8 of the Cayenne. European version of the SUV will also get a 5.9 liter V12 from the Audi Q7.
The vehicle will be based on a modified Cayenne platform. Expect the Lamborghini SUV to hit the streets in 2009.
