police car

Last year, we saw the Italian police force being given Lamborghini Gallardos to keep up with the bad guys. Now, the Atlanta based Carbon motors want to give the American cops a better chance to nail the bad guys. No Lamborghini’s or Ferrari’s for the American cops as yet. It is still the good old Ford Crown Victoria’s modified version, the Interceptor, for them, albeit with some of Carbon motors’ custom magic resulting in the E7. Carbon motors has just given the Interceptor a complete makeover to keep up with the ever innovative criminals.

Codenamed the E7, the car gets an all new, 40%-more fuel efficient six cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine that that puts out a sports cars league 300bhp to make the E7 clock nought to sixty in 6.5 seconds and a quick 155mph top whack and with a biodiesel compatible engine, it will also make the green brigade happy. This makes the old Interceptor with 129 horses and a rather laborious 8.4 seconds to sixty, look like a tractor.

The Interceptor in E7 guise gets taller, shorter and narrower by 12, 5.89 amd 6.5 inches respectively to make it a much better manouvering car for the cops to squeeze through the traffic in hot pursuit mode. The E7 version sees the body getting stronger with ballistic panels and optional front door armouring. Keeping an eye on the hoodlums handcuffed in the rear seats has never got this easy. Now, the cops get a monitor in front which beams the A/V feed from the E7’s rear compartment and spotting the cops has become even easier with an array of strobes, flashers and spotlights on the E7’s roof and bumpers to make it ultra visible.

Now, you can never say you didn’t see them coming. Another handy feature is the rear hinged rear doors which open very wide to let the cops push the criminals into the E7 easier. Guess what, no less than 300 law enforcement agencies from across the world have expressed interest to make the E7 a part of their forces. Life as a criminal on the run has never been tougher.
