We already had a wonderful hovercraft today on auto that looked pretty hot and came with a model who may have looked just a tad bit hotter. Here is another amphibious vehicle that is a bit more stylish and works on totally different principle and technology. Unlike the X.P.A.C 400, this one works on retractable wheels and propeller that works on water. Saleen will be conducting manufacturing design and engineering work required to bring the Gibbs Aquada and Quadski to the North American market. Gibbs plans to introduce the models here late in 2009 or early in 2010.

In addition to working on production processes for the amphibians, Saleen is also looking at ways to improve their performance. The Quadski, which is a cross between the Jet Ski and the quad bike, can reach speeds of 40 mph on land and water. The Aquada is intended to work as a sports car on the road and a speedboat on the water. Capable of reaching 110 mph on land and 40 mph on water, its 175 HP motor is capable of towing water-skiers as well.

Both of them are much beyond just toys and can be very useful in rescue and military operations. But for the casual sports fan it is real exciting as you no longer need to carry your Jet Ski to the river and can just ride on it till there. A wonderful concept that is sure to attract plenty of people across North America.

If this will be my car, I don’t think buying car covers is still necessary. My car will always be free from dust.
People who loves the beach would definitely love this concept. A cross-breed between a jetski and a car is every beach bum’s dream. -Bed Rails
