Schumacher wins the European Grand Prix at Nurburgring.

Seems like Schumi is back to his old self...winning! The Formula One (F1) racer drove the Ferrari, yet again, to win his remarkable 86th career race at the European Grand Prix. The race was also held at home Nurburgring which happens to be his birth place.

The former champion could beat Renault’s Alonso from lap 38 as Alonso had to refuel for the second time. As Michael sped to the flag, Alonso had seemingly already settled for second place. The result puts Schumacher a little closer to Alonso, 44 points to 31.

Schumacher beamed after his victory:

A great race, great strategy and great performance all the way through. I’ve had no doubt all season that we would be in a position to fight for the championship, and this proves it.
