Kia Motors America unveiled a concept based on the production Spectra5 SX at SEMA. The new concept Spectra5 SX sets the floor for future models with designing cues that are likely to become a part of Kia’s future models.
Tom Kearns, chief designer of KMA calls the concept as a ‘tip of the iceberg’ for forthcoming designs from Kia. A cool feature of the concept is a three-stage Amped Amber exterior color that changes shades and color according to the position of the car.
The concept has a more aggressive stance as compared to the production model. Riding on 18-inch wheels, it sits lower in the front by 1.4 inches and by 1.2 inches at the rear. The front fascia has an expanded opening and mesh inserts; the rear fascia is similarly styled and a catback exhaust with a 2.25-inch outlet.
