If a car runs 848 kilometers on one liter fuel, you would think it must set some kind of record. Tell you what? It did! Breaking the previous record of 557 km in one liter is this Sharky II that established this new precedent at the Shell Eco-Marathon in a Southern French commune, Nogaro. This car was put together by the Dutch team, The Hydro Cruisers, for this competition that witnessed the participation of 200 student teams from about 24 countries. The Dutch team represented Rijswijk engineering academy whose creative genius was shown not only in the chassis design but also the hydrogen fuel cell so employed. The competition was held at two levels, namely prototypes and urban concept. The former looked into futuristic designs employing lightweight materials and aerodynamics while the latter concentrated on conventional driving themes. The Dutch design clearly hogged the limelight. Way to go Sharky II, the world needs more like you!

NOW that is what you call fuel efficiency. They have been pushing hard for the 35MPG mark by 2020 in the US but the automakers were objecting to the clause. Even I thought that their stance was correct for the would have to revamp the structure of the cars totally but then after reading this, i don’t think that those 35 miles on a gallon are much of a task.
so this car would really be a help to save gas? well its good to hear that and also i think the vehicle looks doing good performance for its passengers.
