Unbelieveable! But it is true. Check out the Snyder National Bank lobby in Texas: the golden car sits in a locked glass showcase there. Apparently, even the well-known Michael J. Fox’s movie ‘Back to the Future’ which features a time traveling car got inspiration from this car.
The car is one of the only two gold-plated stainless steel body left in the world. It has never been taken on a drive: the odometer says zero miles and there are no traces of fuel in the tank too. But, it can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in eight seconds and run an average 27 miles on a gallon of gasoline.
Roger Mize, president of the Snyder National Bank says it is worth $52,000 today.
