Technology has been busy trying to make us lazy, allowing us to do things with minimum effort. Rollerbladers had to put in some effort while moving, and finally technology has come to their rescue as well. Designer Shay Shafranek has created the Speed Bat, which will remove the nuisances like putting in effort to move and maintain balance.
Basically an electric motor and a stick, the Speed Bat allows rollerbladers to accelerate without putting in much effort, plus staying in balance gets a lot easier. The best part probably is that it makes tackling slopes easier, but most of the time, it makes things boring and a bit foolish.
