The truths surrounding the forthcoming Mercedes-Benz SLC are inadequate, but one thing’s for sure: gull-wing doors are part of the package. So far, we’ve only seen secret agent blast of the SLC wearing body panels pilfered from other M-B products, along with one Viper-clad mule. But these latest images procured by Mercedes Benz not only give us a sight of the gull-winged respect, but also provide us with some idea of the proportions of the new supercar.

Earlier information suggest that underneath the prolonged aluminum cover lays a turbocharged version of AMG’s 6.2-liter V8, putting out around 580 hp and an uncontrollable amount of torque. Projected weigh around 1,650 kg, the SLC is believed to attain a zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) time in around 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 315 km/h or 196 mph. The cab-backwards posture, short back extension and improvised spoiler all hint at the Merc’s pavement punishing potential, and the lifted driver’s side door — still far from complete.
