Do these spy shots remind you Hummer freaks off something? Nothing, I guess poor memory overpowers your hummer enthusiasm then. These are the latest spy renderings of the H3T concept, which was made public at the Los Angeles Auto Show in December 2003.

A twin-door pickup truck targeted at enthusiasts who were looking for a Hummer, with a smaller pick up truck configuration was the reason this serene machine was brought out and now the concept is turning real as the photos reveal a prototype being tested in the hot weather conditions of the Death Valley.

Keeping the initial considerations aside there is a marked difference between the then released prototype and this set of specs. Instead of the twin-door, the production prototype in testing features four doors.

Also guised under the camouflage is the short pickup truck bed, which is about 4 feet long and comes outfitted with an optional assortment of locking storage boxes as revealed by this mule.

Powering this beast would be a choice between the 242 hp 3.7-liter inline 5-cylinder and the new 295 hp 5.3-liter V8 engine that features in the H3 Alpha. The Hummer geeks can expect this one to hit the showrooms in late 2008 as a 2009 model.
