The bottom-line in every facade of life is money as they say ‘money matters’. Few may tend to disagree but then in relevance to the automotive world, this notion is irrefutable. We have heard of numerous car concepts, which could not make it to the production floors for money matters.

The Spyker C12 Zagato has been one car I’ve admired ever since it was unveiled but now the production delay clouds are looming large over the cars future. If reports from AutoTelegraf are to be believed, the car will not go into production partly because of financial constraints and partly because the capacity has been prioritized for other models of the Dutch manufacturer.

Spyker
had plans to introduce the C12 Zagato alongwith its F1 team launch but unfortunately the plans would have to be with held now. Designed with the help of an Italian design firm, the car was to go on sale early next year with a price tag of €495,000.

Unveiled at the March edition of the Geneva Fest, it was supposed to go into production later this year with 24 units planned, but then the Dutch manufacturers recent financial issues coupled with the lack of production capacity has made them put off the production.

It would disappoint the Spyker customers as the company has informed all of them regarding the same but I guess they can forgive the carmaker, for it is something which even the giant global automakers cannot avert these days forget the minnows like Spyker.
