The Métisse Desert Racer is a replica of the bike Steve McQueen used for competitive racing, and it does a good job following the original. With the old-world feel and looks, the bike carries some period parts as well. Power comes from a Triumph TR6 engine with a single Amal carburetor. The body has styled footrests, 35mm Ceriani forks and authentic colour coded tank, seat and panels.
This Racer has been authorized by the McQueen estate and it sells for £12,999, complete with a certificate of authenticity and a McQueen signature on the tank badge. The limited edition motorcycle will see a run of only 300 units.
