In ATV lineup, this is the one that stands apart. Totally hand built creation by a 50 year old New-Zealander, Ken Brough who usually talks about himself as ‘a 50-year-old with petrol in my veins’.
This Quad Bike, which is called the STi ATV by Ken comes fitted with a Subaru Impreza WRX Sti engine from 90s, a Five-speed manual transmission its clutch assembly comes straight out of 1.8-litre Leone.
Any details about the power it generates or acceleration is yet to be known but according to Ken, the vehicle weighs 530 kg, the weight distribution of the vehicle remains an issue as the AWD comes with a 70/30 front to rear ratio.
Though weight will not be a big deal, but what’s really disturbing is that regardless of all the efforts from Ken he could not get the STi ATV approved for road use in New Zealand.
