Glastonbury Festival started as Britain’s answer to Woodstock and carved a niche for itself. Bands such as Radiohead, Travis, The Kinks, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds have all been associated with the Glastonbury festival. Inspired by continental philosophy and surrealism, Glastonbury festival provides an avenue to display surrealist thoughts and concepts through music. However, surrealism is not limited to music and literature and can be a concept in itself and manifest in vehicle designs, products etc. Glastonbury has many ’suburbs’ devoted to science fiction, psychological services, fun activities etc.

At the Trash City area you can find such vehicles, which are so surreal, you might begin to wonder if it is just a concept vehicle or an idea from an alien dimension. Vehicles have been an important part of the Glastonbury Festival and the alternate lifestyle and the philosophical thinking can be seen in these pimped vehicles. The vehicle pictured here, perhaps is an artistic assault on the war mongering governments and probably seeks to admonish violent governmental policies.
