Suzuki revealed its new minicar, the Alto Lapin. The new car features the same body as its predecessor, but is built on the Wagon R’s platform. The previous model was a favorite among women, with most customers averaging 35 years, the new minicar targets women in the late teens to those in the thirties.
Alto Lapin has a 660cc in-line three-cylinder engine, with a four-speed automatic transmission, or a CVT option. Suzuki also plans to a turbocharged model to the range. The engine delivers 40kw power and 63Nm of torque, the turbocharged version can generate 47kw of power and 95Nm of torque. The car will be available only in Japan.
