Electric cars are high on preference in buyers’ lists and companies are scurrying to provide all the clean cars they can. The T10 from Takeoka Jidosha Kogei Ltd., Japan, is a single seat, single door electric powered car. The egg shaped (ugly) car can be charged via a 100V or 200V outlet, and it can reach a top speed of 55kmph, while covering a maximum 50km of ground. Power comes from a 600W motor.
The frame of the T10 is a ladder frame made of steel pipes, and the body is made of fiber reinforced plastic. All this adds up to a light body weight of 290 kilos. The statistics seem all good and practical for city driving, but, well, the car looks ugly. Maybe they should try to give it a face lift before it reaches the roads. Scheduled to be released later this year, the T10 will possibly get a price tag in the range of $10,000 to $15,000.
