For people looking to buy a new bike, the Test Ride iPhone app could be a great help, as far as ergonomics are concerned. The first step requires a photograph of the rider; sitting down and the image needs to be taken from the side, with arms and legs visible. The next step would be to put crosshairs on all joints, and the app will get to work from that point.

After getting all the input, the Test Rides app will tell the user what bike would be best suited for them in terms of size, shape and other measurements, like the length of the forks. Armed with all that information, you could go scouting for the bike that would be most comfortable, but you’ll need to do a bit more math, as all bikes aren’t measured the same way.
