The word going around is that Nissan GT-R has posted better timings than Porsche 911 Turbo at tests in Nurburgring this week. Unofficial figures say Skyline GT-R came out 2 seconds ahead of its ‘benchmark’ competitor.
Hand timed figures say the GT-R did it in 7:38, while the Porsche took 7:40 seconds. Considering the GT-R costs much less than a Porsche 911 Turbo, these figures are impressive.
On its arrival in the market, the GT-R will be available in three avatars. Nissan has started taking pre-orders for the GT-R in Japan, much ahead of the scheduled unveiling of the model on October 24 at the Tokyo Motor Show.
