I used to find my four-wheeler getting more than a handful at times. And then I laid eyes on this mammoth MZKT – 79221, a 16-wheel monster that also holds the proud distinction of being the longest truck in the Russian army. Though the specs on this giant are a little hard to find, given how it’s of great strategic and military importance to the former soviet nation and all, we can safely tell you that the predecessor of this truck, the MAZ 547 / 7916 had “only” 6 axles! But the MZKT – 79221 isn’t too shabby itself with its 80 tonne carrying capacity and runs on a 700 hp diesel engine that has a top speed of 40km/h which is exactly what you want with its 25 meters turning radius. The goliath-sized ride has so far been deployed mainly as a mobile missile carrier and dare I say, I have actual goose bumps just looking at this thing which is bigger than the building I live in!
