The Vespa may not be still the most popular vehicle around and one can totally understand why. The modern bike industry is producing those big and fancy bikes which have almost driven the more formal Vespa to the not too good region in the past decade. The big reason for this is the simple fact that the economics of buying one of those fancier bikes works out a lot better today than at anytime in the past. Yet it is still nice to see that someone is making sure that they alter an existing on in to a totally environment friendly vehicle.
Portland scooter enthusiast Jake Stept has converted a Vespa into an electric vehicle by virtually turning his Vespa inside out and making sure it works on the electric power. This means that you have a Vespa that is so silent that your ears will start to wonder if you are even driving anything. Jake calls t Rezistor and he has not only gone for a zero-emission ride but also has made sure that he goes in the LED direction for lighting and the super-bright LEDs further conserve power.
Jake seems to have done more than just one simple test run on this and it seems as though he worked on this as if his life belonged on the Vespa. I have never ever and I mean never in my life seen such detailed account of an entire project as is the case with Jake laying it out. If you have the patience to follow him, please do. This is really worth it though and just Click Here to get the complete picture of it.
