MIT’s Laboratory for Electromagnetic and Electronic Systems has morphed ultracapacitors by switching in carbon nanotubes enhancing the electrode’s surface area and storage capacity. The new technology which is ten times more powerful will replace traditional batteries and is capable of charging electronic gadgets within no time and that too without replacing the battery. The cost effective technology will widely be used in hybrid cares thereby cutting their price too.
