It’s become a habit to appreciate Toyota for what it does to the automotive world. It’s just the way Toyota thinks ahead of others or perhaps better than others which makes it undoubtedly the world’s best automaker. The latest example of this zest to excel is the new driving simulator developed at Toyota’s Higashifuji Technical Centre in Japan.
In it’s bid to analyse the driving habits and thus reduce fatalities occurring out of the same Toyota has come out with a driving simulator, which realistically is a 7.1 meter wide dome that functions as a 360 degree camera/ video screen to gauge every moment of the of the real car placed inside.
The simulator will assess the driver going through all sorts of motions, be it falling asleep while driving, ignoring that the road is safe and then develop systems after assessing these situations to protect accidental fatalities or the accidents at the first go.
The auto industry is hitting big time on developing techniques that help in avoiding accidents rather than just developing in-car safety systems, thus, this move from Toyota sees the Japanese powerhouse again take a lead in one of the most challenging automotive fronts.
