How much can one lament on the current state of the US Auto Giants, lets give it to the Japanese , they know how to produce quality vehicles, market them at reasonable prices and mint money outside their Domestic Domain. At a time when the Americans are busy shuttering their production plants the Japanese are busy expanding their ventures at home and abroad.
The top Japanese automaker Toyota Motor corp. has decided to double the engine production capacity to around 4, 00,000 units annually at its production plant located in Kanda, Fukuoka Territory. This increase would mean an additional investment of a whopping 20 Billion Yen but then they hardly care don’t they. The Company will publicize this plan on the 30th of this month.
The Automaker is originally located in Aichi and its environs and the Kanda facility was set up in Last December as Toyota’s first Japanese engine production facility outside the aforesaid territory . The reason for this expansion is the difficulty in securing workforce at the original location.
Until Know the engine produced at the Kanda Facility were mainly used for SUVs’ which were further assembled in Miyawaka, Fukuoka area. This expansion would mean that the Kanda facility would now produce an increased variety of engines for all vehicle types.
