One of the most admired luxury brands in the auto market is Lexus. Well, the Toyota’s V8 engine driven Lexus LS600h will be the world’s first car to boast an LED headlight using white LEDs. The LED headlight employing white LED has been commercialized by Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. exclusively for the Lexus.
The LED headlight delivers a light distribution pattern by fusing lights from three squashed projectors in line and lights reflected by a compact reflecting mirror. This helps improve the visibility for the drivers.
The high heat resistant LEDs and Koito’s cooling structure has been integrated in the said headlights to fend off the problem of temperature rise in the LEDs. The device boasts a long life with modest diminution in light amount and roughly no color change.
