Toyota is planning a new small SUV for Europe. To be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next year, the new SUV owes much of its styling to the Urban Cruiser Concept that Toyota unveiled at Geneva in 2006.
Based on the Ist, the new SUV will go on sale shortly after its debut. Toyota’s plans for Europe also include a microcar based on the IQ concept that was displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. While the production version IQ will roll out of assembly lines in 2009, the new SUV is likely to reach dealerships early summer next year.
