It was probably not beyond a couple of weeks ago that we talked about wheel rims that could project any thing that you wished to communicate and does that while driving. While I feel this in not as fancy as that, it still is quite cool. The all new Toyota Tsugi Concept allows you to basically shout out to the world about whatever you want. Apparently you can project anything you want, including your whole profile on the side screen of this car! So basically it is one of those other obnoxious social networking ideas.
Paul Howse is the brain behind these set of wheels and he is the one who has come up with this amazing idea of being able to project stuff on the side screen. While the concept might appear really cool and a touch crazy to me, I doubt how much of this is really acceptable on the roads. We already have traffic police pulling cars over for having wind shields and side screens that are shaded. I do not thing that their hungry pockets and dumb minds would understand the concept; at least not in our region of the world.
Anyway, the idea is still unique and I’m sure many crazy car folks will enjoy it. Apparently you can change this profile and update it frequently using a ‘netsuke’ inspired portable interface. The car can display various stuff at different times but it still somehow is not as flexible as those wheel rims. Anyway, it is still probably alluring to some. If I ever owned one, then probably there would be a big DX spray paint sign on it. But me owning one is obviously highly unlikely.
