The Automotive industry is really going global in the true sense of the word. Recently covered a Bulgarian Super Car Concept and now comes a Diesel Powered bike from the ancient Holy Roman Empire County, Holland. These are names you would least expect when it comes to developing innovative cars or bikes but then nothing sans bound in this competitive Automotive World .

E.V.A. Products BV Holland has brought out the Worlds first Commercially Available diesel motorcycle dubbed the Track T-800 CDI. Do not just mistake it for an ordinary bike owing to its roots as it has all that it takes to be a winner. An 800 cc three-cylinder DaimlerChrysler diesel engine, upboosted with turbocharged intercooled Commonrail direct injection system powers it to produce an uncanny torque of 150Nm.

It comes outfitted with three pre-programmed ECU Settings enabling it to run on 100% Pure Plant Oil viz. Sunflower oil or on low power diesel. E.V.A. CEO Erik Vegt referred to the bike as a
BMW GS killer with KTM LC8 drivability and Suzuki Hayabusa-like torque. It’s the ultimate long distance and long life motorcycle that can run on diesel fuel or 100% pure plant oil .
He also Cited:
This week we sold 15 bikes and production is on its way for the first 250 to 500 units that will be sold within the next 2 years. Unfortunately, requests on this bike will probably exceed the production level for some time to come as we have received more than 2000 purchase requests already. For now we will only target the EU market, but we have already appointed a U.S. distributor which will be announced in 2007.
