Students from University of South Australia have come forth with a new technology to build a three-wheeled car. The car is named ‘Trev’ and is designed keeping daily commuting and other factors like no noise and no pollution in mind.
The environment-friendly car designed by students is fully electric and uses just one-fifth of the energy compared to a conventional car. The car weighs 595 pounds and can seat two passengers (one behind the other) comfortably. This electric lithium-ion-powered green car can cover 90 miles at the speed of 75 mph without any recharge.
The one door car with lightweight chassis and fiberglass body has ample space for luggage and its electric motor gives smooth, calm acceleration of 0–100 kmph in 10 seconds. The car complies with all road safety and the cost of its ‘fuel’ is 1.1 cents per kilometer.
